When selecting a linear LED high bay, compare the lumen output of the LED fixture with your current high bay lighting. This is a better indicator than relying solely on wattage equivalents.
Also, check the color temperature before deciding. A lower Kelvin value means the light is warmer (closer to incandescent), which might not be ideal for commercial spaces. A higher Kelvin value means the light is cooler (closer to blue). For example, 4000K fixtures enhance productivity and reduce eye strain, while 5000K fixtures improve overall visibility.
An LED Linear High Bay is a high-efficiency lighting fixture designed for large indoor spaces with high ceilings (15–40 ft). Unlike round UFO high bays, linear high bays have a rectangular shape—ideal for evenly distributing light in warehouses, factories, gyms, and retail stores.
Wattage selection depends on your ceiling height and desired brightness.
Ceiling Height | Wattage | Lumens |
---|---|---|
10–15 ft | 90–120W | 12,000–18,000 lm |
15–20 ft | 150–200W | 21,000–30,000 lm |
20–30 ft | 240–320W | 35,000–45,000 lm |
30–40 ft | 400W+ | 50,000+ lm |
LED Linear High Bays typically come in two options:
Best for small to medium-sized buildings, retail spaces, offices, and small warehouses. Works with standard 120V/240V systems and offers more dimming options.
Best for large industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and commercial spaces with higher power infrastructure. Reduces power loss over long distances.
The number of fixtures depends on the area size and desired light level (lux). A typical guideline:
Use our lighting layout calculator above to determine the correct layout for optimal visibility.
4000K (Neutral White): Softer light, ideal for office spaces, retail, and areas requiring a comfortable ambiance.
5000K (Daylight White): Brighter, crisper light, suitable for warehouses, workshops, and garages where high visibility is needed.
Use our Kelvin displayer to see which temperature you prefer.
A general rule for even light distribution:
Chain Suspension is common for adjustable heights and even light distribution.
Most LED Linear High Bays support 0–10V dimming for adjustable brightness.
Typically 50,000–100,000 hours (around 10+ years).
Minimal maintenance is required—occasionally clean the lens and check for dust buildup.
90–150W: $100–$180 (Sale ~$40)
200–300W: $180–$350 (Sale ~$50–60)
400W+: $350+ (Sale ~$65)
